SDD24/46_04: Manolo Blahnik, the iconic luxury footwear and accessories brand, has officially entered the Chinese mainland market with the grand opening of its first boutique in Shanghai’s prestigious Plaza 66. This milestone marks the brand's expansion into one of the most dynamic luxury markets in the world, signaling its commitment to a new audience.
Designed under the direction of CEO Kristina Blahnik, the Plaza 66 boutique draws inspiration from the brand’s celebrated London boutique in Burlington Arcade. The Shanghai store incorporates the “living room” aesthetic characteristic of Manolo Blahnik’s spaces, creating a welcoming and intimate environment. With a symmetrical layout and geometric patterns as focal points, the store blends modern, locally designed flooring with the brand’s global elegance.
Infusing local artistry, the boutique features colourful, exquisite furniture by Shanghai designer Chen Darui, enhancing its sophisticated ambiance. A standout feature is the curated manuscript display wall, offering visitors insight into the brand's rich heritage and creative process. This carefully crafted space embodies Manolo Blahnik’s signature style, inviting guests to experience luxury and artistry firsthand.
