SDD25/03_02: Hourglass Cosmetics’ Take Over Shanghai exhibition, held at the historic Lanxin Building at Rock Bund Source, provided an immersive experience where beauty and art intertwined. The event celebrated the debut of Red 0, a vegan red hue featured in their new Phantom Volumizing Glossy Balm, with an installation designed in collaboration with renowned artist Andrés Reisinger. Known for his signature pink drapery, Reisinger transformed the space with bold red tones, bringing to life the innovative spirit behind the Red 0 pigment while staying true to Hourglass's commitment to animal welfare and cruelty-free beauty.
Visitors were invited to step into a visual feast, exploring maze-like corridors and stunning installations that reimagined Hourglass’s brand storytelling. A standout feature was the opportunity to recreate moments from brand ambassador Zhong Chuxi's TVC, set against artfully designed backdrops. The exhibit also showcased the significance of Red 0 and its connection to Hourglass’s vegan and sustainable values, providing visitors with an immersive journey that celebrated both beauty innovation and environmental responsibility.
Timed to coincide with the Lunar New Year, the exhibition at the Lanxin Building embraced the celebratory atmosphere of Shanghai, with Reisinger’s signature red installations symbolising passion and good fortune. This event, following the success of Hourglass’s 2024 New York City installation, underscored the brand’s ability to merge physical and digital experiences in a visually striking way. Hourglass continues to push the boundaries of retail design, offering unique, thought-provoking experiences that resonate with global audiences while staying true to its core values.
